open Chairman - K.Y. (Kuen-Yao) Lee
 

Mr. K.Y. Lee was named Chairman of AUO in 1996 when the company founded. From 1996 to 2001, Lee was Chairman of Acer Display Technology Inc.

In recognition of his leadership, Lee received the Outstanding Manager of Taiwan Award from the Taiwan government in 1987 and was honored with Premier Award for Outstanding Entrepreneur from Business Weekly Taiwan in 1994. He was voted as the Leading CEO in Taiwan by Business Next in 2000, the Technology Leader in Taiwan by Global Views in 2001, the Top 10 Entrepreneur in Taiwan by CommonWealth magazine in 2003, and the Most Admired Entrepreneur by CommonWealth magazine in 2005.

Lee received a Master of Business Administration Degree from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1990 and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University in 1974.
open President - Paul S.L. Peng
 

Mr. Paul S.L. Peng is currently President of AUO and is a seasoned display industry professional in a variety of specialization fields.  In 1990, Mr. Peng worked at BenQ and later headed the Material and Production Department at BenQ's plant in Malaysia.  In 1998, he became AUO's Vice President of Supply Chain Management, and in 2001, General Manager of AUO's Suzhou module plant, the Company's first overseas manufacturing facility.  Having returned to Taiwan in 2005, Mr. Peng assumed AUO's sales and marketing function, where he was appointed General Manager of IT Display Business Group.  In 2008, he was promoted to Executive VP of Global Business Unit, leading TV Business Group, IT Display Business Group, and Consumer Product Business Group.  During his tenure, Mr. Peng successfully forged alliance with major customers to jointly invest in module plants, deployed globally, and increased overseas shipment outlets.  In 2012, he was further promoted to President of AU Optronics and steered AUO to become an integrated total solutions provider.  In 2011, Mr. Peng was elected the 1st Chairman of the Taiwan Display Union Association (TDUA) and facilitated proactive interactions between the display industry chains across the Taiwan Strait. Mr. Peng holds an MBA Degree from Heriot-Watt University, U.K.
open Executive VP & GM of Mobile Solutions Business Group - F.C. (Fwu-Chyi) Hsiang
 

Mr. F.C. Hsiang is currently Executive VP and GM of Mobile Solutions Business Group of AUO. Prior to joining AUO, Hsiang worked at Acer Display Technology (the former of AUO) and headed functions including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Product R&D. Hsiang was appointed VP of AUO's Logistics & Operation Center in 2002. In 2005, he became VP of Global Supply Chain Management. In 2007, Hsiang was promoted as Sr. VP & GM of Global Supply Chain Management and Global Manufacturing. In the following year, he assumed the position of Executive VP of Display Business Global Operation Unit.

Hsiang obtained his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.
open VP & GM of Video Solutions Business Group – Michael Tsai
 

Mr. Michael Tsai is currently VP & GM of AUO's Video Solutions Business Group. Tsai joined Acer Display Technology (the former of AUO) in 1997 in charge of material management and procurement, and was then promoted to Director of Suzhou module plant in 2002. In Suzhou he was responsible for material management, where he successfully built up local supply chain and was adviser to the vendors. In 2005, Tsai returned to Taiwan to take the post of Associate VP of procurement division, and was appointed Senior Associated VP of IT Display Manufacturing in 2007. He was promoted to VP and GM of Information Technology Business Group in 2008. Since 2011, he has been appointed VP & GM of Video Solutions Business Group.

Tsai graduated from National Cheng Kung University with a degree in Business Management in 1988. He obtained his EMBA degree at National Chiao Tung University in 2010.
open VP & GM of Solar Business Group - James C.P. Chen
 

Mr. James C.P. Chen received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. In late 2008, Mr. Chen was appointed to lead AUO's newly established Energy Project Office. In Oct. 2009, when AUO's Solar Business Unit was officially set up, he was assigned to head the unit as the Senior Associate Vice President. Then in Oct. 2010, he was promoted to Vice President of Solar Business Group. Prior to his current position, Mr. Chen headed ERSO/ITRI from 1995-1999. Later in AUO, he worked as R&D Engineer (1999-2000), Marketing Manager (2001-2003), Director of Marketing Division (2003-2005), Associate Vice President of Desktop Display Business Unit (2005-2007), Associate Vice President of Information Technology Display Business Group (2008), and Associate Vice President of Energy Project Office (2008-2009).
open VP of Finance Center & Spokesperson - Andy Yang
 

Mr. Andy Yang is currently VP of AUO's Finance Center. His past experiences included Credit Manager of Union Bank of California Taipei Branch in 1996 and Assistant Vice President of Corporate Banking of ABN AMRO Bank Taipei Branch in 1998. He possesses rich knowledge in global and cross-strait financial operations.

Mr. Yang joined AUO in 2002 and has been appointed to numerous important roles since then, including Senior Project Manager of Finance Division of AUO in Taiwan, Finance Director of AUO subsidiaries in China, Associate Vice President of Finance Center of AUO in Taiwan, member of Board of Supervisor of Darwin Precisions and General Manager of Apower Optronics Corp. He received his MBA degree from George Washington University in 1996 and BBA degree from Department of Finance of National Taiwan University in 1991.
