In 2005, AUO promoted a 5-aspect plan called the “Living Life Program” and the goal is to balance between employees’ work and private life. In 2008, the “Living Life Program” was changed into practical, doable goals in daily life, namely, “Bright Innovation”, “Amazing Life”, and “Green Solutions”, through which AUO’s determination and resources were able to be pushed forward into over 20 thousand families in Taiwan. When these families walked into the “GREEN World”, they had chosen to live a more diverse, rich, earth-loving life.
AUO supervisors have always been doing their best for the sake of employees’ welfare. In addition to regular welfare activities (Family Day, sports season, arts season, and etc.), they also make every endeavor to ensure bodily and spiritual growth, encourage colleagues and families, and maintain fine, harmonious relationships among colleagues. We firmly believe that only employees who can relax and free their body, mind, and spirit are able to give better performance for the company.

The Wellness Center, a center that provides health care for AUO employees, is a medical team composed of excellent, professional, and enthusiastic nurses who change a traditional infirmary service into a proactive health care centre. The center oversees on health and provides diverse medical services. The center promotes a series of health care exercises and pursues a healthy body, mind, and spirit to create a high-quality working environment and achieve a state of mind of an amazing life.
In 2007, AUO received a “Health Pioneer Award” under the category of Health Promotion from the Bureau of Health Promotion, Department of Health, Executive Yuan for its superior performance on creating a healthy workplace. AUO was appraised for valuing employees’ health and that AUO supervisors support and pursue the creation of a healthy working environment.

Health Examination Management
Employee health examination encompasses physical checkup for newcomers, regular checkup, special checkup, advanced health examination, catering staff checkup, special disease or abnormality examination. The employees not only enjoy complete health examinations, but also categorized follow-up checkups which will be closely monitored if any abnormality is found. 
Medical Service
The Wellness Center offers general medical service, accident and injury management, first aid equipment management, first aid and medical treatment for injury and disease, medical consultation, health evaluation, and stationary professional health care doctors to take care of employees’ overall health.
Health Promotion
Health promotion includes a series of activities, for instance, blood donation, cancer prevention seminar, smoking cessation courses, 24hr safety, health walk, AUO stretching, oral health care, blood lipid control, flu shot, 0800EAP consultation, and spiritual garden SAP care, which offers weekly professional meridian massage, as well as essential oil SPA and massage services. Health promotion broadens AUO employees’ knowledge on health and encourages them to participate in health care activities to achieve the goal of creating “healthy lifestyle, vigorous AUO”!
Safety
The Wellness Center regularly cooperates with industrial safety department to offer training, safety and hygiene education, promotion of knowledge on occupational safety and health hazards, first aid personnel training, newest medical information and health care brochures from hospitals, and medical books and magazines rental.
Female Employee Welfare Plan
The Wellness Center provides care and services for female employees such as women health examination, mother care seminar, and pregnancy care. Mother care seminar invites professional lecturers to talk about precautions during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Pregnancy care offers thoughtful facilities including washrooms, parking space, and dormitory for pregnant women. Furthermore, to show solicitude for female colleagues, each branch has nurturing rooms where mothers have access to personalized cabinets, fridge, and bottle sterilizers.
Establishment of AUO BookCity
In order to provide a channel for dynamic learning and self-learning environment, AUO established AUO BookCity at 10 branches at Hsinchu, Lungtan, Taichung, Hwaya, Longke, Suzhou, Songjiang, and Xiamen. The objective of AUO BookCity is to befriend books with AUO employees, who can then share the affection for reading and knowledge growth with each other. AUO BookCity is a public area for book rentals where employees can borrow books during working hours from Monday to Friday.
