AUO's CIAA (circuits in active area) technology embeds the sensor component into the screen to become an integrated NFC signal sensor that offers an effective range of up to 4cm, and it's EMV3.0 L1-certified. The POS can convey messages to consumers via the screen and detects payment signals via a single interface to complete the bilateral communication.

 

 

New X-Ray Sensor

AUO has developed high-resolution, flexible X-ray sensor component that embodies the company's proprietary chip on flex (COF) bonding technology, offering lightweight and drop-resistant advantages that considerably enhance the product's durability. The technology is expected to used in X-ray curve applications such as CT scan or the inspection of industrial tubes, dynamic 3D imaging for blood flow and dentistry, generating immense business opportunities.

Nano-Imprinting Technology

AUO leads to integrate inorganic wire-grid polarizers into the LCD cell. The thickness of in cell inorganic wire-grid polarizer is less than 1um, about 1/600 of the thickness of the traditional polarizers. This feature is especially suitable for applications requiring long battery life, lightweight and slim stylish design.
